Pavane

A watercolor for a change. These are a couple of irises that have gotten to what I call the “fist” stage. They are not totally dried out, but are well past the prime of their lives. Irises at this stage form such interesting shapes with many wrinkles and veins. These two looked like they were involved in a stately dance.
