This is another watercolor of irises that are past their prime and are all the more interesting because of it. The dried blossom dangled from the flower sheath and made me think of a daring circus act. Here the death-defying feat is a special act of bravery because it is the final one. The twirling old flower is hanging on by thin filaments and will inevitably fall. It is lovely in its final hours.
